– Assist the GM in day to day operations
– Assign duties to Head Of Departments and observe performance to ensure standards are being kept
– Assist GM in delivering training
– Selects or assists in the selection of hostel staff and completes all new hire paperwork and ensures the updating of the company HRMI system.
– Maintains accurate records including cash flows sheet, guest floor limit, AR aging reports, direct billing etc.
– Adheres to all franchise and company procedures and regulations as well as standard operating procedures.
– Ensure full compliance to Hostel operating controls, SOP’s, policies, procedures and service standards.
– Assist GM in key property issues including capital projects, customer service and refurbishment.
– Performs daily, weekly and monthly property inspections.
– Builds strong working relationships and communications with hostel staff, HOD’s and other departments to ensure maximum operating effectiveness and fulfillment of special event needs.
– Audits on par stock on all areas to make sure that all required hostel supplies are ordered and stocked in advance.
– Provide effective leadership to hostel team members.
– Ensures effective, timely and accurate communications flow with regards to hostel policies and procedures.
– All other duties as assigned by the General Manager or Management.
– Oversees reception and all tasks and responsibilities associated with that role
